Our Team

Ernie Mansi

Founder, CEO

Ernie’s story represents the true American dream:  He came to the United States in 1973 from Egypt with an advanced engineering degree from the University of Cairo, and $100 in his pocket.  He was able to parlay this into a successful real estate development firm for over thirty years.  Ernie has been directly and indirectly responsible for the completion of over 4,000 residential units throughout the US, with another 1,000 units pending development. A true Legend, his experience and wisdom are continuing to lead Aldersgate into the future.  Ernie lives at the beach in Ventura with his wife of 35 years, Marilyn.  He also enjoys riding his bike and playing ping-pong with his family.

Matt Mansi

Director of Forward Planning

Matt has B.S. in Business Administration from Cal Lutheran, and carries a Real Estate Broker’s license.  He has been with Aldersgate for over 10 years and has worked to entitle and manage many of our projects. Matt is head of acquisitions and forward planning; working to bring new and exciting projects to the company. Matt lives in Port Hueneme with his lovely wife Rachel, and their two dogs.  He also enjoys chocolate after lunch, and Ryan Gosling.

Erich Cornell Wagner

Superintendent

Erich “Wags” Wagner is a former member of the carpenters and pile drivers unions while working as a carpenter and commercial diver in California and Florida. “Wags” serves in the U.S. Navy Reserve as a Navy Diver and previously served 7 years in the U.S. Army as an Underwater Construction Diver, 2000-2007. Erich is an invaluable member to the team, and works as one of Aldersgate’s field superintendents.  He is also currently working on a B.S. in Civil Engineering.  His hobbies include surfing, arm wrestling, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.  

Michael T. Wagemann

Director of Construction Operations

Mike has a B. S. in Mechanical Engineering, and is a licensed General Contractor with a “B” and “A” classifications.  He is also a certified OSAH trained, SWPPP QSP/CESSWI inspector.  Mike has over thirty years of experience in the construction industry, and has built multi-family, podium construction, single family, and commercial projects.  He has completed several large communities from estimating, budgeting, planning, negotiating, and scheduling.  Mike is in charge of construction operations at Aldersgate, and oversees all superintendents.  In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking, and playing with his grandson.

Ana Medina

Construction Finance Director

Ana may hold a B.S. in Business Management, but she doesn’t take any B.S.  She has worked as an office manager, bookkeeper, and property manager. Ana applies her knowledge in learning how different industries are run.  She found her niche at Aldersgate in Construction Finance, and has thrived.  She loves being a liaison between investors and subcontractors, making sure all parties are understood and taken care of.  Her problem solving and knowledge of budgets are just some of what make her so valuable to Aldersgate.  She currently lives in Oxnard between fields, beaches, and mountains with her husband and four daughters.

Jordan Marshall

Project Manager

Jordan served in the U.S. Marine Corps Institute Education Program. He worked overseas and conducted key leader engagements with local nationals to improve security to create stability in the area, as well as forming contracts with local leaders for rebuilding bridges, walls and school compounds to stimulate economic growth and education. Jordan works at Aldersgate to bring many projects to life; ensuring that they get built to the highest, most efficient standard.  He has extensive knowledge in the development process to include acquisition of land, agreements, entitlements, permit process, construction and sales with a real estate license. Jordan currently resides in Ventura, CA with his wife Lindsay and three kids.  A real American hero.

Wendy Gorrell

CFO

Wendy is a CPA with a B.S. in Business Administration from California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo.  Before coming to Aldersgate, she was vice president of a construction company for 16 years.  Prior to that she worked as a corporate controller and a certified public accountant for 12 years.  She lives in Ventura, CA with her dog (oh, and a husband, too).

Lisa Morter

Office Manager

Lisa studied accounting at CSUN. She ran an office that did bookkeeping for smaller business subcontractors who needed help getting their books in order. Lisa stayed active in her kids school system and was an organizer for sports boosters. Since working for Aldersgate, she has implemented many systems that have helped the front office run smoother than it’s ever run. She’s the perfect initial contact for our clients and makes sure that everyone is taken care of in the office. Lisa spends a lot of time reigning in her three sons and husband Scott, and tries to go to Disneyland as often as she can.

Ruth Mansi

Project Manager

Ruth has a B.A. in Anthropology, and a Masters in International Health. She worked overseas in international and economic development. She most recently worked with refugees being resettled in the United States as the Health and Wellness Coordinator.  Ruth has additional experience as an Executive Coordinator, Director of Marketing, and Business Manager. She spends every Friday volunteering in Santa Barbara for a local relief agency.  Ruth manages some of Aldersgate’s most exciting projects, and her attention to detail and organizational skills are top notch.  Ruth loves popcorn, spending time outside, her ginger boyfriend, and her family!
